Big news!! Tickets for the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken went on sale and immediately sold out. However, our amazing and quick-thinking Anna Faltin managed to buy 15 tickets, and now we are offering them to you. 

The greenhouses date from 1873 and were designed by Alphonse Balat, an architect and tutor to Victor Horta, to complement the Palace of Laeken's classical style. It’s a rare opportunity that can’t be missed so sign up soon.

The deadline for registration is Wednesday, April 29.

Please note that places that have not been paid for by the deadline will be given to those on the Waiting List. Cancellations after the deadline cannot be refunded.


Practical Details

Meeting place: Entrance/security guard entrance.  

Meeting time: 12:45. Entry begins at 13:00, but we must meet 15 minutes before the reserved time. The entrance process is strict and latecomers will not be admitted. Tickets will be printed in front of the entrance. 

How to get there: 

  • IC 3132: Departure 11:05 am at Antwerp Central at platform 24 or 11:11 am at Berchem Station at platform 9. This train arrives in Brussels Noord Station at 11:51 am.
  • Step over to Bus R31 Departure 12:01 ( seems to go every 10 min) or R30 Departure 12:11 (seems to also go every 10min).
  • Notes from the Greenhouse: avoid parking problems and travel to the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken by train. Enjoy a 40% discount on your return second-class journey from any Belgian station with the SNCB Discovery Ticket!
  • Get off at Brussels-North or Bockstael station and reach the Greenhouses on foot or by public transport.
  • Brussels-North is the nearest station and is connected to the Greenhouses via De Lijn buses R30 and R31.
  • Bockstael: a 20-minute walk from the Greenhouses.
  • Use the code below to purchase your Discovery Ticket at www.belgiantrain.be.

Bring appropriate clothing or an umbrella in case of rain during the walk outside. It can get hot in the greenhouses, particularly on warm days. Please take this into account.

At the end of the walk, there is a shop with books and guides about the greenhouses, postcards, gadgets, and a tearoom selling hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, and cake.
